Ramble!

Why hello there!
Okay so I have great difficulty uploading photos onto here, but hopefully that won't be a problem soon so you can expect a LOT more photos! Tomorrow I shall have a Boho fashion look up hopefully that was requested by someone on twitter which should be a lot of fun! Okay so I write all my posts on my iPad, and my laptop broke about a year a go and it was manageable but now it is basically a glorified itunes machine as that is all it does! This is why i write everything on my iPad. On here you cannot upload photos from your memory unless they are on the Internet, so I have to upload the pictures from my camera onto my laptop, sync the iPad, put the pictures on Facebook from my iPad for the whole world to see, save them off Facebook into my images on one of the desktop commuters in the office (it's hard to get to the USB port without being electricuted) delete them off Facebook to save embarrassment and then upload to my blog! It's a bit of a hassle but on Thursday we are getting a mahoosive apple Mac as our main desktop so it should be a lot easier :)

So tomorrow I have two fashion related posts planned, I don't know if they will both be up tomorrow or just one because i am busy busy busy but we shall see! I will only do these ramble type posts on occasions like this, where it is two a.m in the morning and i have nothing better to do other than organise my room!

OH and I am very very excited because I now have three followers. For a couple of months I onl had one and it never went up so I was having very intimate blogging sessions I suppose! But suddenly two more came! So thank you! I really enjoy this whole blogging thing as I feel like i can ramble for Britain and it's nice to know some people may enjoy readingy rambles so it's a win win situation! I hate asking for shout outs and such as I think it is desperate but of you do enjoy my blog and know anyone who has the same interests as you, they may enjoy my blog bit never find it! They dont need to follow and you can always un follow right? But yeah it's nice to know people are actually reading what I write when I'm too tired to focus.

Xoxo, Lily
P.s I can now do the rubies cube in six minutes! I will be the first one to do it in single digit seconds ;) watch this space...

Haa no I dug out the rubiks I got a few christmasses back and taught myself :)

So i am going to my cousin's wedding tomorrow, and weddings are a great excuse to buy a new outfit! So i recently went to topshop to look for a dress and i came across this navy one! It reminds me of a twiggy dress in the 1960's and navy is my favourite colour to wear. so it is a kind of thick single layer chiffon for the main body of the dress, it has pleats at the top and the sleeves are a very sheer navy chiffon. I, being the five foot three short person that i am, seemed to drown in this dress, and i havent yet taken it up as i feel a dress on me that is too long just makes me look shorter, i desided to get a skinny belt also and blouse it up over the belt, just to bring the length up a little bit. i adapted this seasons 'buckle and knot' technique, which i am very greatful for, as i always disliked the whole chunky belt phase. I paired it with these great suede brogues from bertie, that my mum got for me a couple of seasons ago in the house of fraiser sale (along with these gorgeous carvella loafers that i wear for school, all half price! you can imagine my excitement!) i replaced the laces for some black grosgrain ribbon, something i do in all my shoes! in my red tartan doc martins i have a black satin ribbon which looks really contrasting and i love it! for jewlerry i felt no need to wear any bracelettes, and usually i have so many on i cannot lift my hand but there would be no point as the sleeves go right down to my hand, so for practicality all i wore on my wrist was my favourite overly tacky juicy couture watch that i love (being juicy, it is bound to be tacky!)I also wore my necklace and earrings that i wear pretty much every day and never take off, so these will crop up in a lot of outfit posts. it is my flat hears shaped tiffany earings and my small silver key, also from tiffany. And as far as makeup and hair goes, we will have to see what happens in the morning.

p.s excuse the damp hair and the pained expression on my face!

An apology for forgetting you!

Hi so I'm lily, and you may vaguely remember me,
I will be honest and say i completely forgot i had a blog!
I signed in wanting to start a blog and apparently I already had one! So I want to kind of change the meaning of my blog. I don't want to really be tied down into doing anything. I want to blog about whatever the heck i want! I'm sure SOMEONE will read it.
So it's been about nine months, and nothing extremely exciting has happened. I nave become a lot more engrossed in actual fashion I guess, i always have been but now more than ever. My favourite part is reading vogue and scrutinising all if the adverts. I adore editorial fashion adverts and I feel like the only person in the world who would be happy to buy a magazine filled with adverts!

I want to post photos of my outfits everyday, but since all I have right now is an iPad I ilk find it hard to take photos and upload them, unless my brother should be so kind as to lend me his laptop for this crucial step! I had a laptop but being a Dell, it decided to break. I will be able to scan things in such as designs and anything i feel like I should put up here!

I am really excited to get into the whole blogging thing again because I feel like I can ramble on for hours on end, and no one is forced to listen to me! I guess you win both ways.

Posts coming up:

The September issue

Bought from YouTube: eight most worn things
Would you rather beauty edition
Trends for the fall and winter
Collection reviews for a few designers

Introduction :)

Tiffanies necklace :)
Green Day

A jacket that i drew :)

Hello Blogging world!
I want this to be the kind of chanel that will give any girl anywhere in the world tips and advice on ANYTHING (oh, and i mean, anything.) I'll do whatever springs to mind and if anyone fancies doing a little request-feel free!

so here's me :D (i thought i'd set it out in a list format because usually they are the only things i can be bothered to read!)
name: Lily H R Covington-the HR stands for Harriot Rose. i have no problem with people knowing my full name :)
Age:I am fourteen years of age
Hometown-Well lets just say around London in the U.K. i love where i live- minutes from big countryside and big big city. i love London and it always has been my favourite city in the world. close Paris, Rome and New York. just so you know-my favourite cities are usually based on the favourite shops!
Music: Two words- GREEN and DAY! I'm serious! That's is probably my BIGGEST obsession. i've decided to spare your life and stop here-or i will end up writing about them for a few weeks. but honestly listen to their music-it's real not all faked like most songs right now. But i am a sucker for most of the stuff in the charts. however bad it is! if it's catchy-I'm in!
Hobbies:Most of my hobbies come from things which I started when i was young. My biggest Hobby is definately acting. I have been acting at various drama schools and acting clubs and theatre guilds ever since i was about 3 and i have been in alot of shows. I enjoy dancing also but i can't do club anymore because acting for me takes priority! (but i do still like to dance around in my bedroom..) I'm also BIG on fashion design. Although I'm not the best-and i don't think there is any best in the fashion world as all tastes and meanings and symbols are different-i do very much enjoy doing it and i think if anyone fancies doing it then go ahead and show me some of your work. it's so fun to look at other peoples designs! my memory of doing this started when i must have been about 4 or so and i got a massive pot of felt pens for christmas one year and i used to sit in my room all day long drawing women in dresses and outfits.
My goals in life:I would love to have a very cliche job as an editor in a fashion magazine! I like the idea of having to have the final overview on a big magazine. i love the editorial side of fashion. i like the set designs on the shoots and i love the graphic design. although i have taste for these things no way would i ever be abble enough to do a big graphic design project or desighn a set on my own. i would be very content being an assistant in this circumstance as i would just enjoy observing all these things. Lets just say this job is a little different to what i used to aspire to be-a celebrity archeologist...say no more about this...
Of course I am not going to deny that i would like to have some money purely to fund my shopping habbits! but i will only be content if i were to do this on my own. i want to be a hard worker and successful and independant. only after i have acheived all this would i like to settle down with a family but i definately want a family in my life
Oh, and i would also like to have a thin string of tiffany diamonds round my neck-even if i have to save up my whole life that is one of my aims!
Shops:I used to buy alot more than i do now but recently i have taken a leaf out of my Mothers book and i now live by the motto Quality Not Quantity. i would rather buy one thing that I am going to keep forever and i can hand down in generations and have the pride of being able to earn something worth alot to me that buy ten things that get ruined in a few years. of course as with any rule it does get broken sometimes :)
Clothes shops-Vivienne Westwood Red Label has probably been my favourite from as long as i can remember
although i don't own any i love Chanel and hopefully will one day have that little black dress.
Marc Jacobs makes some gorgeous pieces, as does Alexander McQueen and Chloe. I love Chloe for sophisticated type looks but with something a little playful.
for basics i am a huge fan of Ralph Lauren cable knit jumpers. Tshirts i wear alot of. I like brands like Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, Juicy Couture and Ralph Lauren again.
for Highstreet, no doubt about it i LOVE LOVE LOVE Topshop! I also like Urban Outfitters and Zara can sometimes suprise me
Shoes- Manolo Blahnik, Jimmi Choo and Christian Louboutin. need i say more. Convers and Doc Martins get me excited too!
Bags-any thing. if i like it i dont care about the make! i love Louis Vuitton for travelling bags such as the trusty speedy and their trunks! (almost as good as globetrotter trunks!) Marc by Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Chanel, and Mulberry never fail to impress me either
Jewellery- Nothing wrong with that little blue box! Tiffaies is lust!!! i alos love the over the top-ness of juicy couture and Thomas Sabo is my favourite place to go for Charms
Jeans-Levis every time
Makeup-I like Bobbi Brown, Mac, Chanel and other brands for certain things such as YSL for their touche eclat and Urban Decay for their uuh-mazing pallettes!

I'll be updating frequently with tips and trics :) stay posted
